Mokulele recently made a significant impact on the “Friendly Isle,” serving as a Platinum Sponsor for the Molokai Health & Fitness Expo (Resource Fair). It was a day filled with community connection, celebration, and exciting updates regarding the future of our service to the island.

A Special Moment with Senator DeCoite

One of the highlights of the event was a heartfelt tribute to Senator Lynn DeCoite. Our very own Melissa Lyman—who continues to do an incredible job fostering our Hawaii relationships—took to the stage to perform a special song and present the Senator with a beautiful lei.

The gesture was met with great warmth. Senator DeCoite shared positive feedback regarding the tangible improvements Mokulele has made over the past year, acknowledging our team’s hard work and commitment to better serving the Molokai community.

Leading the Conversation

Mokulele’s standing in the community was further highlighted by our presence on the main stage. We were one of only two organizations—alongside Spectrum—invited to give a formal presentation to the attendees. Notably, while other carriers like Lanai Air requested a speaking slot, they were declined, leaving Mokulele as the primary aviation voice at the event.

Elevate Program Success

Our mission to provide better value to our frequent flyers was a major hit. Thanks to Melissa’s hard work and engagement, we successfully signed up at least 42 new members for the Elevate program during the fair! This is a fantastic step forward in building long-term loyalty and ensuring our passengers are rewarded for flying with us.

The Future is Electric: Beta Aircraft

The Molokai community is clearly looking toward the future. There was a palpable sense of intrigue and genuine excitement regarding the Beta aircraft, with Beta representatives sharing our table at the event. Residents expressed great interest in seeing the electric aircraft fly to the island, signaling strong community support for our move toward sustainable, innovative aviation.
