BETA’s ALIA electric aircraft has begun demonstration flights across Hawaiʻi, and we couldn’t be more excited about what it means for the islands.

Over the next several weeks, we’re flying ALIA throughout the state to learn how electric aircraft could one day serve our interisland network, for both passengers and cargo. It’s a first real look at what cleaner, quieter flight between the islands could look like.

The program brings together BETA’s electric aircraft technology, Surf Air Mobility’s regional airline expertise as Mokulele Airlines, Hawaiʻi’s existing airport infrastructure, and SurfOS™ software,  all working toward a more sustainable way to connect our communities.
